Captures for Benefits and suitability at desktop and mobile widths are generated from a live store by
npm run shots. They appear here automatically once that has run.
When to use it
On product pages, high in the buying column, for any product with contraindications or a specific fit.
Setting it up
- Add the section to a product template.
- Write the heading under Content.
- Add Benefit blocks for what the product does, and Suitability detail blocks for who it is and is not for.
- Add media under Media if you have an icon set. Leave it empty for a text-only treatment.
- Set Benefit source to Product data so benefits come from each product's category attributes, then pick the Benefit attribute. Each Suitability detail block has its own Value source. See Per-product content.
Where the content comes from
Blocks own all content. Up to 12 blocks combined.
Notes and cautions
- State what the product is not for. It reduces returns more reliably than any amount of positive copy.
- Keep claims cosmetic, never medical. "Supports the skin barrier" is a claim you can make; "treats eczema" is one you cannot.
Section settings
Every setting on the section itself, in the order it appears in the theme editor. Group headings match the editor's own grouping.
Content
Add at least one Benefit or Suitability detail block, or assign a product category so Shopify supplies the values. The section is hidden from customers until it has content.
Add up to six Benefit blocks and six Suitability detail blocks.
Benefits
Product data uses the category attributes Shopify adds once a product category is assigned. Benefit blocks are used whenever product data is unavailable.
Caps how many values from the product are shown. Benefit blocks are not used while the source is product data.
Suitability
Each row fills in order: the category attribute, then the value, then the fallback value. Connecting a dynamic source replaces the value, so add a fallback value to keep a row visible on products that have no data.
Leave blank to hide the note. Use only instructions that apply to the product.
Media
Used outside a product page. On product pages, the current product supplies the image.
4:5 aspect ratio recommended.

Blocks
Blocks are added, reordered, duplicated, and removed inside the section. Each type has its own settings.
Benefit benefit max 6
Suitability detail profile max 6
Reads this attribute from the product. Shopify adds these once a product category is assigned, so no metafield setup is needed.
A row stays one line beside its icon, so only this many values from the attribute are shown.
Literal text, or connect a dynamic source to read your own metafield per product. A dynamic source replaces this text rather than sitting beside it.
Shown when nothing else resolves, including when a connected dynamic source is empty for a product. Leave blank to hide the row instead.
